First Dayton Cancer Care, home of the CyberKnife will be closing the practice in June of 2019. Dr. Ed Hughes will be retiring from practice after serving cancer patients in Dayton, Ohio for more than 25 years.
Dr. Hughes and the entire team would like to wish all of our patients and their families, all the best. It has been a pleasure helping you during your cancer journey. It has been a privilege to have been entrusted with your care. Since opening our doors in 2003, our team has care for more than 7,000 cherished patients by providing upwards of 165,000 radiation therapy treatments.

First Dayton Cancer Care has partnered with the non-profit organization "Radiating Hope." Radiating Hope is establishing a cancer care facility in La Paz, Bolivia. All of First Dayton Cancer Care's radiation equipment, CT scanner, computers, medical equipment and furniture will help establish cancer care in one of the poorest countries in South America.
The building that houses First Dayton Cancer Care will be donated to a local charity, the "Therapeutic Riding Institute" in memory of Dr. Hughes’ late wife who volunteered her time there.

During the course of your treatment and follow up, we have continually sent your medical records to your other physicians. They have all of the information necessary to care for you. However, if you would like an additional copy of your medical records there are a few easy ways for you to obtain them.
All medical records will be properly maintained and will be destroyed, as directed by Federal and State Regulations.
